We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!</p><p>As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.</p><p>We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey!</p><p><b>The Role:</b></p><p>Join us as a Technical Artist at Pixel Toys and work closely with both the art and code teams to ensure the game delivers on its creative vision.</p><p>As a Technical Artist you will play a key role in identifying and developing methods to improve art pipelines and enhance visual quality across our projects. Supporting the Art, Engineering, and Design teams you will help resolve technical challenges, and will take ownership of monitoring the technical pipelines for all art areas throughout the studio.</p><p>Creating clear, easy-to-follow documentation for toolsets and workflows will be a vital part of your role, ensuring the team has reliable resources to work from. You will also be responsible for profiling, optimising, maintaining, and supervising graphics to make sure game performance meets technical targets.</p><p>In this role, you’ll help drive and refine tech art best practices, working collaboratively with other disciplines to regularly review and update standards and processes that maintain quality and efficiency across the studio. You’ll help by proactively researching and proposing new technologies or techniques that can improve the game and the development process.</p><p><b>About you:</b></p><p>Joining us as a Technical Artist, you will have shipped at least one title in a technical artist or similar role, demonstrating your ability to see a project through from development to release. You will have hands-on experience working in industry-standard engines such as Unity or Unreal, and a solid understanding of optimising performance for mobile or console platforms.</p><p>You will also have experience programming shaders using HLSL and some exposure to scripting languages like C# and Python, allowing you to develop and support efficient, visually compelling content. Your knowledge of rendering pipelines will be well-rounded, with familiarity in systems such as Unity’s URP considered a strong advantage.</p><p>On top of this you will bring strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think technically and artistically, in order to overcome challenges.
