About The Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our Independent Living Support Service.

Independent Living Services (ILS) support vulnerable adults to live independently at home and connected to their communities, through tailored information, advice and support - enabling people to take control of their own lives.
About the job
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaing good relations with clients, being the key contact through their time of entry to and exit from the Independent Living Support Services.

You will be responsible for collecting financial and all other relevant information from service users or their representatives relevant to their service needs and referrals.

You will undertake the financial assessment and reassessment to determine the individual service user's ability to contribute to relevant services and identify entitlement to all types of benefits, assist with applications to maximise income.

Liaise with other service areas, agencies and establishments to ensure the client's needs are addressed, and delivered.

Take ownership of client cases, and liaise with relevant officers regarding delivery of services.

Evaluate the end delivery of service and inform management of areas of concern/improvement, ensuring service area targets are achieved.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will need to have experience of working with, or understanding the needs of vulnerable adults, have an understanding and experience of income assessment, and benefit maximisation. You will need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to listen, act and inform. You will need to form partnerships with internal and external services and organisations. You will spend the majority of your time interacting with customers and responding to their requests and queries. You will usually work in an environment where you are face to face with your client using your strong communication, decision making and analytical skills to ensure the delivery of a timely and responsive customer experience.

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
