About The Service

Our Change Delivery Team is looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice Level 3 - Business Change Project Support Officer based at County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, CF10 4UW, and at our Coleridge Road site, with some home working also anticipated.

Our Change Delivery Team provide programme, project and business analyst support to ensure structured governance and successful project management and delivery of service area business change.

This role will involve working online from home and/or a mix of home and office (hybrid) working across multiple sites.

About the job

In this Corporate Apprentice Level 3 role you will support our service and will learn about programme and project management and how it is delivered in Cardiff Council. Working alongside our qualified Project Managers and Senior Business Analysts, the Corporate Apprentice will learn about each of our team roles and carry out a range of tasks that support the projects and analysis work required to deliver effective change and improvement.

Some of the tasks include:

  • Scheduling and attending meetings and taking notes
  • Updating records, databases and plans
  • Undertaking basic research and data analysis
  • Drafting project management documentation
  • Providing general project support
  • Assisting at workshops
To support your development, you will undertake a Welsh Government Apprenticeship Framework Qualification in Digital Skills for Business Level 3 in the role. and will receive on the job training and supervision to help you deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive and customer focussed manner. You will also be supported by your manager and a named mentor who will encourage you to develop a range of transferrable skills to support your career progression.

Many of our teams work online with a mix of home or hybrid (office) working. Where homeworking is required, you will be given the necessary equipment and training, however, you will need to arrange your own internet connectivity (support may be available to help with this).

This post is temporary for 24 months if worked full time, or longer if worked part time. Most roles are based on a 37-hour week though many roles can be worked on a part time basis at a minimum of 16 hours per week for apprentice roles.
