Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Service Manager, the phlebotomist will review laboratory requisitions prior to performing proper phlebotomy techniques, verify collected specimens by computer entry, labeling, centrifuge and bagging specimens for pick up.  Record and perform related duties.   This position is will be for the NUR - FLOAT POOL CHAM.

 

Training & Certification(s) Required

Phlebotomy certificate and experience (Hospital phlebotomy school certificate and experience)

Phlebotomy certified with 100 successful veni-punctures on adults and 25 infant heel/finger sticks.

Light computer skills

 

Education

High School Diploma or GED required
