This position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and developmental educational opportunities within residential communities. Responsibilities will include <ul> <li>Assisting in the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of multiple resident assistants and senior resident assistants. This includes on-going mentoring and supervision throughout the academic year.</li> <li>Develop, organize, and plan educational and social programs for residents – independently and in coordination with other residence life staff</li> <li>Provide support, counsel, and referrals to residential students, including responding to early alert reports, intervention in crisis situations and mediation.</li> <li>Serves as a member of the “after hours” emergency response rotation. A bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a human service field (psychology, social work, education, etc.) Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Must possess the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner, and to have a positive and productive working relationship with co-workers and university personnel.
