Job Summary

The Director, Global Real Estate is a critical strategic and analytical leader within the Global Real Estate (GRE) organization. This role is responsible for driving execution of executive‑level real estate processes, delivering high‑quality analytics and insights, and enabling effective communication and alignment across the global real estate portfolio. 

Responsibilities

Executive Function & Strategic Support 

  • Lead creation and delivery of executive‑level materials, including board presentations, investment proposals, strategy documents, and quarterly business reviews 

  • Drive cross‑functional coordination of real estate initiatives across Global Real Estate, Design and Construction, Finance, Legal, Operations, and external partners

  • Support executive decision‑making by synthesizing complex data into clear, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations

  • Maintain and improve processes for portfolio governance, approvals, and internal executive workflows

Analytics & Research 

  • Build and maintain advanced real estate financial models, portfolio analytics, and enterprise‑wide scenario analyses

  • Conduct deep market research on global data center markets, power and land availability, competitive dynamics, and regulatory landscapes

  • Develop insights and benchmarking to inform market entry strategy, portfolio optimization, and long‑range planning

  • Partner with FP&A to support forecasting, capital planning, cost‑of‑delivery analysis, and performance reporting

Communications & Alignment 

  • Create clear, high-quality communication materials for internal and external audiences, including GRE leadership, cross-functional teams, and senior executives

  • Establish consistency in messaging, documentation, and reporting across the global real estate function

  • Serve as connective tissue across GRE to ensure alignment on priorities, progress, risks, and escalations

  • Drive cadence, documentation, and follow‑up for leadership meetings, governance forums, and strategic reviews

Program & Portfolio Support 

  • Support evaluation, prioritization, and tracking of global development initiatives across multiple geographies

  • Identify risks, business implications, and operational constraints at a portfolio level

  • Partner with regional and functional leads to ensure execution against milestones and strategic objectives

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives such as market expansion, development strategy, partner engagement, and portfolio rationalization

Qualifications

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management, Strategy, Real Estate, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in real estate, data center/infrastructure, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or analytically intensive strategic roles

  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including portfolio or investment analysis

  • Strong executive communication skills—written, verbal, and visual

  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment

  • Experience operating in cross‑functional teams with diverse stakeholders

  • High degree of ownership, professionalism, and judgment

Preferred 

  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree (e.g., Real Estate, Finance, Strategy)

  • Familiarity with hyperscale data center development, energy/power markets, or digital infrastructure

  • Experience supporting board-level materials, investment committees, or C‑suite decision-making

  • Background in long-range planning, capital allocation, or enterprise-wide portfolio analysis

  • Experience designing or optimizing operational processes and governance structures

This posting is a new position within our organization.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 186,000 - 280,000 USD / Annual

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 154,000 - 232,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
