Schedule: Mon - Fri, 6am – 2:30pm. OT Required as needed during business days or on Saturdays

Job Overview:

The Warehouse Receiving Specialist is a critical role, it is responsible for making sure all inbound and outbound is accounted for accurately and placed in the most efficient locations for the Distribution Center's flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect Incoming Freight: Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming freight upon arrival, documenting any discrepancies or damages observed.
  • Log Received Materials: Accurately receive and record all components and materials in the receiving log, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and precise.
  • Coordinate with Account Managers: Communicate effectively with account managers to resolve any issues related to part numbers or discrepancies.
  • Labeling: Ensure all boxes and drums are labeled correctly according to company standards and requirements.
  • Quality Control Registration: Register all materials approved by Quality Control in the system promptly and accurately.
  • Claims Management: File claims for any purchased materials that are found to be defective or incorrect.
  • Preparation for Storage: Prepare all approved components and materials for assignment to bay locations, ensuring efficient organization and storage.
  • Document Management: Scan all relevant documents, save them securely in the cloud, and forward copies to account managers and the purchasing department.
  • Coordinate with Vendors: Collaborate with vendors to assign carriers for orders once they are ready for shipment.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Address and resolve any discrepancies that arise with orders or vendors, employing effective problem-solving skills.
  • Purchase Order Management: Prepare purchase orders for all freight cost orders and generate corresponding freight purchase receipts.
  • Shipment Tracking: Update the inbound log upon the arrival and receipt of shipments to enhance traceability and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2-3 years warehouse experience
  • Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack, Order Picker, and other Misc warehouse equipment
  • Must be able to lift between 35-55lbs repeatedly
  • Adequate knowledge of warehouse data systems, as well as UPS and Fedex systems
  • Team player with organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic Math skills required
  • Knowledge of Google suite or Microsoft office programs,, Word and Excel
