The Ouseburn is in the backyard of thousands of residents and is hugely important for people and wildlife in the city. Newcastle City Council, North Tyneside Council, the Environment Agency, Northumbrian Water and the Reece Foundation have formed an ambitious partnership with a mission to improve access to and the environmental quality of the Ouseburn corridor.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to continue the development of an investment programme and accompanying funding strategy. This will build on a significant initial funding commitment from the Reece Foundation and the initial year’s work on the project.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in partnership to develop and deliver positive change. You will have good project management skills and will ideally have experience of dealing with planning, walking and cycling, landscaping, ecology and water resources. You will work within Newcastle City Council and report directly to the Ouseburn Way Project Board.
