Sr. Director of Business Development (Flex Location)

About the position

You will be a key driver of our company’s long-term growth by leading the pursuit, development, and acquisition of high-value, strategically significant business opportunities. This role focuses on complex, enterprise-level deals and initiatives that typically involve longer and multi-threaded sales cycles, cross-functional collaboration, and C-suite engagement. Success in this role requires exceptional executive communication skills, strategic acumen, and the ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels.

Responsibilities

  • Executive-Level Value Articulation Lead high-impact presentations for senior client stakeholders, articulating complex value propositions with clarity and strategic relevance.
  • Translate customer needs into tailored, high-value solutions that address both operational and strategic objectives.
  • Market and Product Communication Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet specific requirements.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of product components, design, features, and benefits, and tailor messaging to meet customer needs.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to capture major accounts and drive multi-year revenue growth.
  • Evaluate complex deal structures and provide strategic guidance on pricing, proposals, and solution configuration.
  • Negotiation and Closing Lead negotiations on major, multi-dimensional deals, ensuring alignment with financial, operational, and strategic goals.
  • Drive deal closure while maintaining strong customer relationships and long-term partnership potential.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless client experience.
  • Ensure internal alignment and readiness for successful onboarding and long-term account success.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in B2B service sales, with a focus on acquiring new business among larger and more complex customers.
  • 10+ years in enterprise business development, strategic partnerships or enterprise sales
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics and the ability to articulate value effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Success operating in large, matrix global organizations
  • Strong commercial acumen: deal structuring, pricing strategy, and negotiation
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
