[Remote] Staff, Advanced Analytics, Global Markets and Policy

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Airbnb is a global platform that connects hosts and guests, and they are seeking a Staff member for their Advanced Analytics team in Global Markets and Policy. This role will focus on developing data infrastructure and tools to support international growth strategies, collaborating with various stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build self-service analytics tools and dashboards that enable country teams to monitor performance, deploy local marketing levers, and act without waiting on centralized analytics cycles
  • Partner with country GMs and regional leads to translate local business questions into structured analytical frameworks and actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain measurement infrastructure for local marketing programs, including campaign performance tracking, incrementality testing, and contribution to marketing mix models (MMM)
  • Identify and size new growth opportunities across international markets using a combination of internal behavioral data, supply/demand signals, and external market data
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Research teams to ensure data and tooling needs are scoped into roadmaps and delivered on time
  • Contribute to the build-out of new local growth levers (incentives, promotions, merchandising, affiliate programs) by providing the analytical foundation for targeting, measurement, and iteration

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally within a marketplace, e-commerce, or global consumer technology environment
  • Expert-level SQL skills; proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis
  • Industry experience applying AI technologies for business growth and workflow acceleration
  • Strong experimentation background — you are fluent in A/B testing, causal inference methods, and incrementality measurement, and can design and interpret experiments independently
  • Demonstrated experience building self-service data products and tools — dashboards, automated pipelines, or decision-support applications — used by non-technical business stakeholders
  • Experience working in or supporting international / multi-market business contexts; comfort navigating cross-cultural data nuances and country-level analytical complexity
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for senior business audiences — you can make a country GM or a VP act on what you've built
  • Proven track record of operating with autonomy in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and delivering high-quality work across multiple concurrent priorities
  • Collaborative, low-ego working style with a strong orientation toward enabling the people around you — you measure success by the decisions your work influences, not the analyses you produce
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tooling (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent) and comfort working closely with Data Engineering partners to productionize analytical work
  • Experience with supply/demand modeling or geo-based analytics in a marketplace setting
  • Exposure to growth marketing analytics (SEM, paid social, performance channels)
  • Awareness of emerging AI/LLM-driven discovery and search trends and their implications for organic traffic and demand generation strategy
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and measurement methodologies, including marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution, and campaign performance frameworks
