Remote NGO Research Assistant

Job Summary:

AidInsight DK, a leading NGO dedicated to delivering actionable insights for global development projects, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote NGO Research Assistant. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about research, data analysis, and supporting social impact initiatives from a flexible remote environment. The successful candidate will assist in gathering, analyzing, and presenting research data that drives the organization’s strategies and programs across various humanitarian and development sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on global development projects, policies, and NGO initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from diverse sources.
  • Prepare detailed research reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor trends, news, and developments relevant to the NGO sector.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, grant applications, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with other team members and external partners to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain organized records of research findings, data sets, and reference materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently in a remote setting.

Experience:

  • Prior experience (1–3 years) in research, NGO support, or data analysis is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in drafting reports, research papers, or policy briefs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with international development frameworks, humanitarian programs, or social impact assessment is advantageous.

Working Hours:

  • Flexible remote work schedule with an expectation of 20–30 hours per week.
  • Occasional meetings or collaborative sessions during standard European working hours may be required.
