[Remote] Manager, Cost Accounting

They are seeking a Manager, Cost Accounting to oversee all aspects of cost accounting and inventory valuation to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and GAAP. Responsibilities Lead and develop the cost accounting team, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and a culture of accountability Establish and maintain cost accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory Provide cost analysis to assist in pricing decisions and margin improvement strategies Partner with Operations and Procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunities Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting teams to align cost data with financial statements Manage cost accounting aspects of external audits Drive enhancements in ERP system (NetSuite) and cost accounting processes for better accuracy and efficiency Implement best practices for cost tracking and analysis Provide cost analysis for new product introductions, capital projects, and purchasing decisions Maintain accurate cost data for scenario planning and contingency analysis Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred) 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in cost accounting leadership Demonstrate ability to lead and develop a cost accounting team, including goal setting, coaching, and managing teams competing priorities Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and ERP systems (NetSuite experience required) Experience designing and maintaining cost accounting internal controls Experience developing pricing support models and margin analysis frameworks to inform commercial decision-making Proficiency in scenario planning and contingency cost modeling, with the ability to translate assumptions into financial projections for leadership decision-making Experience leading ERP enhancements or system implementations related to cost accounting modules Proficiency in Excel for complex financial modeling, including pivot tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas for cost analysis Proven ability to diagnose complex cost problems, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities Extensive experience collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Demand Planning, Procurement, and FP&A to align on cost initiatives Benefits 20 accrued vacation days per year 40 hours of paid sick leave annually 3 paid mental health days 9 paid holidays throughout the year Paws & Claws coverage Comprehensive life insurance, AD&D and long-term disability coverage Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Confidential Employee Assistance Program Accident and critical illness plans Employee 401(k) plan and company match Monthly utility allowance Employee discount program Wellness challenges Paid parental leave Regular recognition initiatives One paid volunteer day per year Company Overview MANSCAPED creates a dynamic educational movement and culture focused on the importance of men’s health, hygiene, and refinement.
