[Remote] Emergency Management Strategy and Analytics Consultant

They are seeking an Emergency Management Strategy and Analytics Consultant to facilitate collaboration between various government levels and industry stakeholders during emergencies, ensuring effective communication and operational resilience. • Responsibilities • Utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) services such as ArcGIS to analyze and present supply chain, business, and economic impacts, trends, and predictions • Developing and implementing collaborative actions with business and industry stakeholders and local economies impacted by a disaster • Facilitating the inclusion of business and industry partners in regional emergency management planning, training, and exercise activities • Serving as a conduit of communication and coordination between federal government and local or regional business and industry entities • Engaging and integrating with regional-level business and industry partners to understand context, capability and capacity of business and industry to ensure alignment • Assessing, building, and improving upon existing regional federal emergency management, business, and industry integration processes • Contributing to the development and expansion of federal business and industry coordination roles across the nation • Documenting best practices to support the development of standard operating procedures • Understanding of national supply chain dynamics resulting from disasters • Skills • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse • Bachelor's degree • SIX (6) years of experience in/or applicable to the emergency disaster management field • Experience using Geographic Information System (GIS) services such as ArcGIS to analyze and present supply chain, business, and economic impacts, trends, and predictions • Direct experience or familiarity with FEMA or DHS • Familiarity with the National Response and Recovery Framework (NRF) and (NDRF) respectively • Work on-site at the FEMA Region 9 office (Oakland CA) 5 days/week • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred • Familiarity with how private sector and industry integrates with the federal government • Experience with public affairs, community affairs, and strategic communications • Strong written and oral communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications • Benefits • Medical, Rx, Dental & Vision Insurance • Personal and Family Sick Time & Company Paid Holidays • Position may be eligible for a discretionary variable incentive bonus • Parental Leave and Adoption Assistance • 401(k) Retirement Plan • Basic Life & Supplemental Life • Health Savings Account, Dental/Vision & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability • Student Loan PayDown • Tuition Reimbursement, Personal Development & Learning Opportunities • Skills Development & Certifications • Employee Referral Program • Corporate Sponsored Events & Community Outreach • Emergency Back-Up Childcare Program • Mobility Stipend • Company Overview • Guidehouse offers consulting services for public and commercial markets with expertise in management, technology, and risk consulting.
