[Remote] AI Engineer (Computer Vision | Machine Learning)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zifcare is seeking an experienced Computer Vision Applied Machine Learning Engineer who is passionate about solving real-world problems with practical, production-ready machine learning solutions. The role involves researching, designing, developing, and deploying computer vision models while working across the full software development lifecycle.


Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and train new machine learning models or adapt existing models for real-world applications
  • Design and develop software systems using sound engineering practices, scientific analysis, and mathematical models
  • Build, maintain, and enhance machine learning applications and software
  • Develop and execute software testing and validation procedures
  • Debug, optimize, and improve existing software for performance, reliability, and compatibility
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions

Skills

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or an exceptional industry track record delivering successful projects
  • 3–5 years of industry experience delivering successful Computer Vision solutions
  • Strong understanding of: (a) Machine Learning (b) Statistics (c) Mathematics
  • Strong programming skills in: (a) Python (b) Java or C/C++
  • Hands-on experience with: (a) Image classification (b) Object detection (c) Object tracking (d) Image and video processing (e) Computer Vision tools
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as: PyTorch, TensorFlow (or equivalent)
  • Experience deploying or developing solutions for edge devices
  • Experience with modern deep learning techniques for Computer Vision, including: (a) Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) (b) Residual Networks (ResNets) (c) Attention-based models
  • Familiarity with: (a) End-to-end machine learning workflows (b) Cloud-based machine learning platforms (c) Software testing and debugging (including automated testing) (d) Relational databases (e) SQL
