An exciting opportunity awaits! We are looking for energetic leaders to join our Group Insurance Medical Stop Loss (MSL) Distribution team. As a member of our MSL Distribution team, you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with Prudential's sales organization, brokers and consultants, customers, third-party administrators, and partners that will enable our MSL program to grow. Working across market segments, you will leverage your expertise to successfully execute our MSL strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow and protect MSL revenue through participation in broker & general agency meetings, the sale of new and renewal business and additional/expanded issuance of MSL coverages.
  • Deliver market leading service and consultative solutions.
  • Provide strategic direction on MSL products and services as well as industry trends to Prudential regional distribution teams.
  • Partner with regional Distribution segment leads and underwriting to build business plans that will assist in the achievement of new and renewal MSL sales and persistency targets.
  • Gather and distribute self-funding and MSL marketing intelligence (e.g., leading trends, challenges, product updates, risk related issues, etc.) to the GI Distribution team as well as the MSL leadership team.
  • Serve as a MSL subject matter expert for professional development and product knowledge, market dynamics, ensuring Distribution employees within assigned regions have the right support, tools and resources to grow our MSL market share.
  • Champion continuous improvement to increase customer satisfaction for our MSL program products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure producer and customer needs are understood, satisfied and in alignment with overall Group Insurance strategy.


Business Development:
  • Build and manage MSL producer partnerships throughout defined territory supporting a high quality MSL RFP pipeline.
  • Collaborate with assigned Regional Account Manager to manage RFP workflows, implementation of new and renewed accounts, producer communications and internal support needs (e.g., underwriting, commissions, contracts, claims, etc.).
  • Coordinating Marketing, Sales, and Support service for assigned accounts.
  • Possessing an understanding of your assigned customers' requirements and initiating actions that maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively partnering with internal contacts to facilitate timely resolution of issues or problems presented by customers and/or brokers.
  • Consult with producer partners, present products, services, and plan design information to meet customer needs.
  • Addressing customer questions and concerns regarding any aspect of our product offering.


Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years proven sales experience in the self-funding and/or MSL marketplace.
  • Proven track record building a profitable book of MSL business, including both new and renewal accounts, meeting key performance targets defined by the business.
  • Exceptional knowledge of and relationships in the GA/broker/producer in the GI and MSL marketplace.
  • Proven ability to create a positive work environment, with a focus on transparency, execution and teamwork.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and partnership skills, delivering results through a cross-functional team and matrix environment.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to influence and execute key strategies and build / maintain strong relationships across an organization.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a matrixed organization; ability to guide, influence and navigate effectively across multiple functional areas to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of the self-funded and MSL insurance industry from a market and underwriting perspective, including the ability to analyze and understand financial and performance metrics.
  • Ability to focus externally including identifying business trends, changes in market conditions, and competitor activity.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance license or obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
