Vikta Energy is an Authorized Tesla Energy Partner specializing in commercial solar, Tesla Superchargers (DC Fast Charging), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). As we continue to expand nationwide, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex renewable energy projects from contract handoff through final closeout.

This role is ideal for someone with experience managing commercial solar, BESS, EV charging, electrical construction, or EPC projects who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with clients, engineering, procurement, and field operations to successfully deliver projects.

Location

This is a remote position for candidates located within a reasonable driving distance of our Austin, TX office. While you'll primarily work remotely, you'll be expected to attend occasional in-person meetings and planning sessions at our Austin office. Project-related travel of approximately 20–30% is required.

What You'll Do

You'll manage projects from post-sale handoff through final commissioning and closeout while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and coordinating internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Pre-Construction
  • Serve as the primary client contact following project award
  • Coordinate site surveys, engineering, and design approvals
  • Manage permitting, AHJ approvals, utility interconnection, and HOA requirements
  • Coordinate change orders from initiation through execution
  • Generate purchase orders and coordinate equipment procurement
  • Schedule subcontractors, equipment rentals, and installation activities
  • Communicate project milestones and approvals to accounting for invoicing
Construction
  • Support field operations throughout active construction
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding project status
  • Coordinate emergency material procurement and resolve project issues
  • Manage as-built revisions with engineering
  • Coordinate with Tesla and utility providers for Supercharger energization when applicable
  • Track construction milestones and support project financial reporting
Post-Construction & Closeout
  • Schedule inspections and manage final approvals
  • Coordinate punch list completion and site restoration
  • Prepare closeout documentation including warranties, monitoring setup, and PTO documentation
  • Assist with commissioning and system configuration as needed
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Accounting, and Sales
  • Arrange travel and lodging for field personnel when needed
  • Assist with licensing compliance and safety training coordination
  • Help improve project management processes, workflows, and SOPs as the company continues to scale
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience in one or more of the following:
    • Commercial Solar
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    • EV Charging Infrastructure
    • Electrical Construction
    • Renewable Energy EPC
  • Experience managing projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Knowledge of AHJ permitting, utility interconnection, and construction processes
  • Excellent client-facing communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar experience
  • Experience managing BESS projects
  • Tesla Energy experience (Superchargers, Powerwall, Megapack)
  • NABCEP Certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience managing change orders and construction contracts
  • Experience developing or improving project management processes
