Product Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Analyst based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to turn complex product data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategic decisions.

You will own analytical projects from initial scoping through analysis, recommendations, and presentation.

Working closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers, you will help define success metrics and evaluate product performance.

You will apply statistical rigor to experiments and A/B tests while uncovering the drivers behind user behavior and advertising outcomes.

Your work will also strengthen self-service analytics through reliable dashboards, reusable analytical frameworks, and well-documented methodologies.

Accountabilities

Own analytical initiatives end to end, including sourcing questions, defining scope, conducting analysis, developing recommendations, and presenting findings to product stakeholders.

Partner with Product Managers and Machine Learning teams to establish, monitor, and improve key success metrics for product features and initiatives.

Design, analyze, and interpret A/B tests and other experiments using sound statistical methodologies to support evidence-based product decisions.

Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service analytical resources that provide transparent visibility into product performance.

Develop reusable SQL queries, analytical notebooks, and lightweight analytical frameworks, including LLM-assisted workflows, to improve efficiency and streamline recurring analyses.

Investigate unexpected changes in product or business performance, identify underlying drivers, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly.

Develop strong knowledge of core data sources, product areas, and the broader product ecosystem to provide increasingly relevant and impactful analysis.

Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to improve data quality, metric consistency, instrumentation, and analytical reliability.

Document analytical approaches, assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions to ensure analyses are reproducible and accessible to stakeholders.

Requirements

5+ years of professional analytics experience, with a track record of independently delivering analytical projects from initial scoping through final presentation.

Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python for data analysis and statistical work.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex datasets into clear insights, recommendations, and business or product decisions.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Hex, or similar platforms.

Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, statistical analysis, and product performance measurement.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong problem-solving skills, analytical curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an evolving product environment.

Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering teams.

Benefits

Base salary of $137,000–$170,000 for roles based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County, or Seattle.

Base salary of $126,000–$156,000 for other eligible locations in California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington State.

Full compensation package that includes equity.
