Part Time Tutor – Science Subjects

Job Summary

SmartStudy Denmark is seeking passionate and knowledgeable Part-Time Tutors for Science subjects to support students in achieving academic excellence. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in guiding, mentoring, and motivating learners through tailored sessions that focus on building a strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in science education, who are patient, communicative, and enthusiastic about helping students succeed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, interactive, and curriculum-aligned lessons in Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related areas) to students of varying levels.
  • Assess students’ understanding, identify learning gaps, and create personalized learning plans to address specific needs.
  • Provide homework support, exam preparation, and revision assistance.
  • Encourage critical thinking and conceptual clarity through real-life examples and practical applications.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and their parents/guardians.
  • Maintain a structured learning environment and manage time effectively during each session.
  • Collaborate with fellow tutors and academic coordinators to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong command of Science topics and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to learn and perform at their best.
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to individual student requirements.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of tutoring or teaching experience in Science subjects is preferred.
  • Experience in online education or remote learning is a plus but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Flexible part-time role with approximately 10–20 hours per week.
  • Sessions scheduled based on tutor availability and student needs.
  • Option to choose preferred time slots, including evenings and weekends.
  • Remote work setup allowing for location independence.
