Operations Assistant (Warehouse)

At NineStar Connect, we’re looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Operations Assistant to play a vital role in powering our mission. In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with the Purchasing Coordinator to ensure the timely procurement and management of materials, directly supporting the Electric Operations and Engineering teams. Your contributions will help maintain seamless line service, efficient maintenance, precise inventory control, and successful construction projects—all essential to achieving our Cooperative’s vision. What you'll do: 

  • Ensure materials are stored for easy accessibility; maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free warehouse, garage, and supply yard.
  • Accept and receive shipments and deliveries, checking material received against packing slips for accuracy.
  • Conduct job prep work-up for line crews with material and supplies when needed.
  • Deliver material and supplies to line personnel in the field as required.
  • Load and unload material and supplies for use or disposal on trucks; complete all required paperwork.
  • Coordinate disposal of scrap and reels; manage timetable for emptying receptacles.
  • Deliver vehicles to various locations for maintenance and repairs when needed.
  • Oversee safety equipment including tested rubber gloves & sleeves.

What you bring:

  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.
  • Must reside within the perimeter of the Company’s service territory or within a fifteen (15) mile radius of the Company’s Headquarters located at 2243 E. Main Street Greenfield, IN 46140.
  • Hold a valid Indiana Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement (or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment).
  • Forklift certified. (or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment) 
  • Previous storeroom/warehouse experience or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to work outside under ALL weather conditions, including inclement conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs
