Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits and community outreach to assess the needs of individuals, families, and vulnerable groups.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to specific cases while coordinating with other professionals and stakeholders.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support to clients, addressing issues such as mental health, addiction, abuse, and family crises.
  • Assist clients in accessing healthcare, education, shelter, and employment resources.
  • Maintain detailed case records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Facilitate group workshops and awareness programs on health, rights, and welfare.
  • Collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, and local organizations to strengthen service delivery.
  • Advocate for client rights and work to remove systemic barriers.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in case management, counseling, or community service (preferably with NGOs or non-profits).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
  • Knowledge of government schemes, welfare programs, and referral networks.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a focus on practical interventions.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in social work, community health, or welfare services is preferred.
  • Experience working with marginalized populations, including women, children, elderly, or persons with disabilities, is a plus.
  • Field exposure and practical experience in crisis management are highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or evening assignments based on field requirements.
  • Flexibility to travel to community sites and attend outreach programs.
