Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and campaigns.
  • Create, edit, and manage content for websites, newsletters, social media platforms, press releases, reports, and other communication materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and enhance visibility.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication to ensure consistent messaging across teams, partners, and beneficiaries.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness through metrics, analytics, and feedback; refine strategies to optimize impact.
  • Organize events, workshops, and public awareness campaigns to amplify Voices4Change’s mission.
  • Provide media training and support to staff and partners to ensure clarity and confidence in messaging.
  • Support crisis communication efforts and manage reputation risks with tact and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with fundraising and program teams to design communication tools that support donor engagement and project implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications, preferably in the NGO or social sector.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong storytelling ability with experience in creating engaging content tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media management, content creation tools, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Experience in media relations, campaign planning, and event coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with issues related to human rights, gender equality, community development, or public health is a plus.

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in designing and executing communication strategies that increase organizational reach and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams including fundraising, advocacy, program implementation, and external partners.
  • Proven ability to write grant proposals, reports, and promotional materials that align with donor expectations and institutional goals.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools to measure communication outcomes and adapt strategies accordingly.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week).
  • Flexibility required to attend events, respond to urgent communications, and coordinate with international partners across different time zones.
  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be necessary depending on campaign schedules.
