Responsibilities

  • Identify and define business, product problems, analyze, and achieve improvements in Meta's product business via a focus on the quality and performance of its products and operations.
  • Leverage data to understand our products in depth, identify areas of opportunity, and execute projects to drive growth and engagement of Meta users through effective modeling and collaboration.
  • Understand our products in depth to identify areas of opportunity to expand or implement new products based on statistical analysis and execute projects to drive growth and engagement of Meta users.
  • Formulate mathematical models and collaborate with senior managers and business stakeholders to drive projects that focus on new user growth, mobile usage, and revenue.
  • Work closely with design, product, engineering, and data teams to evaluate potential issues arising from product growth (i.e. pain points) through collection of customer feedback and efficiently address them.
  • Work both on core Meta products like news feed, notifications, and mobile, and offsite marketing channels like SEO, SEM, and email to identify potential areas of expansion or modification using data sets and predictive modeling.
  • Employ knowledge of tools like Hadoop/Hive, Oracle, ETL, R, PHP, Python, Excel, MicroStrategy, and many other internal tools to work efficiently at scale.
  • Advise relevant personnel on the impacts of various courses of action should any issues arise during the implementation of product expansion or modification through detailed analyses.
  • Use and perform statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, or other methods to analyze information and develop practical solutions to business problems.
  • Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to analyze and enhance product performance.
  • Use quantitative analysis, multivariate testing, and data-driven insights to inform decisions and drive growth.
  • Communicate findings to influence leadership, employ tools like SQL for analysis, and implement frameworks to improve user engagement, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
  • Experience must include 1 year in the following: Analysis Statistical analysis, observational/trend analysis, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, modeling)
  • Data querying languages: SQL or R for manipulating data
  • Dashboarding tools
  • Experimentation: Set up and analysis of A/B tests (hypothesis formation, test treatment assignment, and post-experiment analysis)
  • Marketing analytics Channel performance breakdown and marketing funnel analysis
  • Marketing strategy: Marketing best practices, copywriting, CTA optimization, and value proposition messaging
