BrightLocal helps local businesses get found, chosen, and trusted by customers. We do this through powerful SEO software and services, and we're growing fast. We're now looking for a Lead Customer Success Manager to join our new Local SEO Services team.

What you'll do

You'll be the main point of contact for a group of small but strategically important customers, including marketing agencies and local businesses.

You'll guide them from onboarding through ongoing growth, making sure they see real value at every stage.


You'll be leading and coaching a small team of Customer Success Managers and Account Managers, helping them stay focused, motivated, and high-performing.


Here's a closer look at your day-to-day:
Onboard new customers, setting clear success milestones
Help shape SEO success plans with your customers and our SEO Managers
Lead monthly or quarterly success review calls
Monitor customer health and step in early if things go off track
Spot and support upsell and renewal opportunities
Keep detailed records across Planhat and GDrive
Coach your team with regular feedback, 1-1s, and structured training
Work with Operations and Product teams to improve and automate processes

What we're looking for
You're a natural relationship builder who loves solving problems and seeing people (and businesses) grow. You'll need to be comfortable leading others, while also rolling up your sleeves and working directly with customers.

Must-haves
3+ years' experience in Customer Success, Digital Account Management or Support
Strong understanding of SEO or digital marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proven track record of driving adoption and renewals
Experience leading a team, including offshore or remote colleagues
Confident using business tools (CRMs, success platforms, SEO tools, Google Docs etc.)

Nice to have
Experience working with agencies or SMBs
Familiarity with tools like Planhat or similar
Knowledge of customer success metrics and playbooks
