PURPOSE OF ROLE:
We are recruiting for a Junior Scrum Master to join the Solution Delivery team, and help coach and facilitate our agile squads as we continue to drive agile practises within interactive investor.
In this role you will help the team perform at their highest-level vs agreed goals. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating agile ceremonies, and doing things like working with the product owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
  • Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver business benefit.
  • Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organisation.
  • Coaching the team to higher levels of agile and scrum maturity, and helping them define their ways of working
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work and facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Building great relationships with the product owner and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Arranging and facilitating agile ceremonies such as, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, demo’s, planning meetings, and retrospectives in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.
  • Acts as safeguard for the team.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks
  • Previous experience as a team lead an advantage
  • Previous experience of collaborating with or within an agile/scrum team an advantage
  • Previous experience of delivering change in and I.T function or working with and I.T function.
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures
  • Jira/Confluence experience an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
