Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing hospital billing processes accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining strong communication with patients, insurance companies, and internal departments. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health of the hospital while providing a seamless billing experience for patients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and process patient invoices accurately, including hospital services, procedures, and treatments.
  • Verify patient insurance information and coverage eligibility.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and hospital policies.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, or claims.
  • Resolve billing issues, disputes, or errors promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient billing records, both electronic and paper-based.
  • Collaborate with the finance and administrative teams to streamline billing procedures and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Generate regular reports on billing status, outstanding payments, and claim submissions for management review.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in hospital billing, medical coding, or healthcare administration.
  • Familiarity with billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare billing regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in hospital billing, medical billing, or healthcare administration.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Flexibility may be required for peak periods or urgent billing resolutions.
