Job Description:

Step into a key role driving the creation of a cutting-edge Digital Environment that spans the entire product lifecycle. You'll be at the forefront of implementing a next-generation integrated MES (Manufacturing Execution System) toolset—empowering our teams to deliver world-class solutions and outstanding value to our customers.

As part of this dynamic team, you’ll help design and deliver robust, business-wide solutions with real impact. You'll take ownership of your work, planning and delivering projects over medium-term timelines while offering expert technical guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.

Your Impact:

  • Develop/improve manufacturing processes to support a new Manufacturing Execution System by:
    • Capturing and studying requirements
    • Researching, designing, modifying, and testing new manufacturing digital solutions
    • Identification of Leonardo stakeholders and support to stakeholder management
    • Understanding feedback from Leonardo stakeholders
    • Conferring with vendors or external partners
    • Assess business benefits of new integrated digital environment for end uses & identify KPIs to track adoption and benefits following introduction of the new tool.
  • Provide input on design decisions for interfacing applications
  • Support in the development of the detailed work plan to schedule, track, and forecast the assigned work to be delivered
  • Support in the prioritization of the work packages identified within the Future MES project
  • Support in preparation of content for technical reviews including; technical steerco, design reviews and change review boards.
  • Responsible for validating new/enhanced feature/functionality test scripts
  • Development of materials to support stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate with business SMEs to identify regression testing elements for new/enhanced feature/functionality user acceptance testing
  • Responsible for creating additional user acceptance test scripts/criteria for new/enhanced feature/functionality including ‘break’ tests
  • Be the project’s subject matter expert to validate testing and undertake show and tell activities
     

What you'll bring:

  • In depth understanding of manufacturing processes and principles
  • Effective change management skills
  • A detailed understanding of the operational framework and business processes
  • An understanding of cross functional / commercial business processes and their own impact
  • Ability to take ownership of a work package; planning and scheduling own workload and the work of others
  • Operational understanding of project work and how the work of the team impacts upon other project activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of multiple phases of the Product Life Cycle and the associated processes
  • Experience of peer reviewing the work of others inside a product team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the risk / reward process associated with manufacturing activity informing the activities of a product team
  • Ability to communicate concepts in a non-technical way
  • Confidence and ability to challenge / respond to technical / process issues
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
  • Been involved in capability and / or process development, demonstrating an ability to implement a change to working practices
