Focus Fitness - Experienced Full Time Fitness Tutor and Assessor based in London

I am super excited to be recruiting for this Experienced Fitness tutor and Assessor role based in London for Focus Fitness, a leading fitness education provider.

With over 2000 successful graduates you will be passionate about building relationships with your students and spark life long friendships. This might be their individual journey but it takes a team effort to get them across the finish line and perusing the next steps in their fitness careers.

Offering a variety of different courses, approved member of CIMSPA and all qualifications are certified through Active IQ and recognised by employers within the leisure sector.

Founded and run by ex-professional footballers back in 2011, the business began its life offering retired sportsmen and women the opportunity to extend their careers and explore a new opportunity with their lives. Now, after assembling an experienced team they have opened our doors to everybody from all walks of life and any background.

A little bit about what you'll be doing...

  • Delivering and assessing high quality courses in accordance with standards, awarding organisation and inspection expectations giving learners a memorable and effective learning experience
  • Ensure full compliance with planning and evaluation requirements including lesson plans and schemes of work. ensuring that differentiation strategies and techniques are employed in all sessions
  • Thoroughly guide learners through their portfolio enabling them to complete units accurately and on time
  • Accurately track all written assessments and practical assessments and collate evidence of student achievement for verification
  • Monitor learner’s ILP’s, ensuring ILP reviews are actioned as per the timetable and all ILP paperwork is completed

A little bit about you... (some must haves)

  • Senior experience of teaching and delivery in a number of settings including sport and exercise
  • Approachable, fair and a great sense of humour
  • Excellent presentation, communication and ICT skills
  • Level 2 Gym Instructor QCF qualification
  • Level 3 Personal Training QCF qualification
  • Minimum Level 3 Award in education and training
  • Level 4 IQA Qualification - Desirable
  • Availability to work weekends

Level 2 / 3 / 4 in Delivering, Information, Advice Desirable and Guidance - desirable
Level 3 Assessors award - desirable
Level 3 / 4 SEN Qualification - Desirable
