Job Summary

AirBridge Nigeria is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Flight Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a critical link between flight crews, dispatch, and management, you will ensure the seamless planning, execution, and monitoring of flight operations. This role demands excellent organizational skills, real-time problem-solving capabilities, and a deep understanding of aviation procedures and compliance standards. You will work closely with pilots, ground staff, and logistics teams to support efficient, safe, and on-time flight operations while upholding the highest safety and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily flight schedules, ensuring all operational requirements are aligned with regulatory, safety, and company policies.
  • Liaise with flight crews, maintenance teams, and ground handling staff to ensure readiness for each flight.
  • Monitor flight progress, tracking delays, disruptions, or technical issues, and communicate real-time updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, including flight plans, load sheets, and compliance paperwork, is accurate and submitted timely.
  • Assist in coordinating crew schedules, rotations, and rest periods according to aviation guidelines.
  • Support incident reporting, investigating operational deviations, and assisting with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to safety, security, and environmental policies.
  • Maintain communication across departments to streamline flight operations and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Provide analytical reports on flight performance, punctuality, and operational efficiency for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in flight operations, airline coordination, or dispatch roles.
  • Strong understanding of aviation safety standards, air traffic procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in flight management systems, operational tools, and scheduling software.
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to addressing operational gaps.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in airline operations, flight coordination, or aviation logistics.
  • Experience working with aviation software systems, air traffic coordination, or dispatch platforms is highly preferred.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.
  • Rotational shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergencies or flight disruptions at any time.
