As a Cyber Security Analyst, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the airline's information security policies, standards, and procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain information security policies, standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure the security and integrity of JetBlue's digital assets.
  • Participate in Project Management activities to support IT Security programs and initiatives, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Auditors to assess compliance with policies, standards, procedures, and best practices, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain systemic, analytical Compliance programs to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate potential risks.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to assess annual regulatory compliance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of a comprehensive information security training program to educate crewmembers on information security best practices.
  • Act as a messenger and advocate for Information Security to all Crewmembers, promoting a culture of security awareness and compliance.
  • Gather and report metrics to reveal the state of information security at JetBlue Airways, providing insights for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Assurance.
  • A security-related certification, such as CISSP, CISA, or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Information Security, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and practices, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with regulatory/compliance requirements, such as PCI, PII, Privacy Laws, SOX, HIPAA, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of leading security standards, including ISO 17799 and NIST SP 800:30.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, with a strong alignment with the airline's values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun, and Passion.
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%), with a valid passport and necessary travel documents.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located, with authorization to work in the US (this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experience will be considered a plus:

  • A deep understanding of core security principles, with a strong foundation in cybersecurity best practices.
  • Four (4) years of experience in Information Security, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations.
