You’ll bring fresh ideas, experience, and insight to help take our email marketing to the next level.</p><p><br></p><p>This role is perfect for an analytical, detail-driven professional who loves reporting, HTML, and strategy. In this role, you’ll be lead a talented team of passionate email marketers, drive end-to-end campaigns across multiple brands and products, manage email databases, campaigns and newsletters, and ensure all activity is targeted, effective, and on brand.</p><p>To thrive, you’ll be a proactive self-starter, comfortable under pressure, and a skilled multi-tasker with a knack for turning data into actionable insights.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p><ul><li>You will be passionate about ensuring the customer receives the right message at the right time, with a focus on optimizing existing triggered email campaigns, as well as developing and launching new ones.</li><li>Deliver all promotional and content-based email campaigns in line with the trading and campaign calendars; including creative direction, copy and HTML coding.</li><li>You will deliver increased personalisation, segmentation and relevancy in all emails.</li><li>Ensure all emails are scheduled and delivered to brief.</li><li>Maintain lifecycle communication programmes to drive continuous improvements to customer retention and lifetime value.</li><li>Proofread emails for clarity, grammar and spelling.</li><li>Deliver the monthly customer email newsletters, offering a range of content across our group services.</li><li>Upgrade our email templates using graphics, personalisation and advanced features.</li><li>Ensure prompt and accurate communication to minimise unsubscribes.</li><li>Maintain robust monthly reporting, analyse campaign performance, and suggest improvements.</li><li>Ensure emails follow industry policies, best practices, and compliance.</li><li>Devise and action a testing and optimisation plan for campaign and automated emails and provide analysis from these on a weekly and monthly basis.</li><li>Develop robust documentation, including specific work instructions, and best practices.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>The ideal candidate will have:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.</li><li>Proven work experience as an email marketing manager.</li><li>Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems.</li><li>Ability to be flexible and adjust strategy to suit and integrate a wide range of technology/marketing platforms.</li><li>Strong project management skills.</li><li>An ability to work under tight deadlines.</li><li>Experience in analytical tools including Google Analytics and Power BI.</li><li>Excellent communication and organisation skills.</li><li>An acute eye for detail.</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and trading focus.</li><li>Have an understanding of segmentation and personalisation and how these practices might be used in improving customer communications.</li><li>Able to manage time effectively and to prioritise actions.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Connells Group UK is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, transgender status, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.</p>
