Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working alongside licensed electricians on diverse construction and maintenance projects. You will develop essential skills in electrical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols while gaining exposure to both low and high voltage applications.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and commercial facilities. Learn to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform various tasks related to wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup.

Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments. Help with the installation of low voltage systems, including communication lines and security wiring. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and site inspections to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework or prior experience in electrical work is a plus. Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.

Strong interest in industrial or commercial electrical systems; previous experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills.

Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces as required by construction environments.
