Dental Hygienist – Clinic Role

Job Summary

SmilePlus Dental is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our clinic, you will be responsible for promoting oral health, performing preventive care procedures, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain patient oral hygiene.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and evaluating oral health.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Assist dentists during procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) when required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments performed.
  • Ensure sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide personalized oral care recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Proficiency in dental cleaning techniques and preventive care.
  • Knowledge of dental software for record-keeping and appointment management.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate and reassure patients.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a dental clinic or hospital setting preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong practical training and internships will also be considered.

Working Hours

  • Full-time: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Flexibility to work in shifts may be required based on clinic scheduling and patient demand.
