Job Summary

LearnAid Nigeria is a leading educational non-governmental organization dedicated to improving learning outcomes for underprivileged children across Nigeria. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate, timely, and organized entry of critical educational and organizational data, supporting the efficient functioning of our programs and initiatives. This role is pivotal in enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing the impact of our educational interventions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain data related to students, programs, volunteers, and other organizational records in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Verify and cross-check information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Generate reports and summaries from data to support project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators, project managers, and other team members to ensure data needs are met.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all sensitive information.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or errors in data and suggest improvements to data entry processes.
  • Assist in the development of data management protocols to enhance organizational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Education, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in data entry, data management, or administrative support (preferably in an NGO or educational setting).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with databases, data collection software, and data validation tools.
  • Excellent typing speed with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data while maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of professional experience in data entry, administrative roles, or similar positions.
  • Experience working in NGOs or educational programs is highly advantageous.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Flexibility may be required during peak periods or special projects.
