Job Summary

SafeNet Tech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our remote team. As a critical member of our information security team, you will be responsible for protecting our digital assets, monitoring potential threats, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. You will work closely with IT, risk management, and business teams to develop strategies that safeguard our infrastructure and sensitive data from cyber threats. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely while contributing to a dynamic and innovative cybersecurity environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities across company systems.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Perform threat analysis and vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and software updates.
  • Investigate security breaches, perform root cause analysis, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats, tools, and technologies.
  • Generate detailed reports on security incidents, trends, and compliance for management.
  • Assist in cybersecurity awareness programs for employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and secure cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Exposure to both on-premises and cloud-based security environments.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, remote role with flexible working hours.
  • Availability during core business hours for collaboration and incident response.
