Concierge - The Lodge (Part Time)

The Concierge is responsible for the guest arrival experience, working with guests in advance, as well as, assisting guests and day visitors while they are on-site. As a Concierge, you will facilitate and perform various bookings, requests and procedures daily to ensure we meet our Mission Statement "to exceed the guest's expectation by providing a once in a lifetime experience, every time".

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Escort Guests to their room upon arrival, recommend and assist in booking dining, spa, golf, tours/activities, transportation etc. Effectively balance a high level of multi-tasking of various situations and requests while completing checklists at The Guest Services Desk. Accurately record outgoing and incoming shipping, as well as, frequently lifting 50 lbs. or more.
  • Anticipate the needs of our guests and identify what to best recommend by utilizing their Resort and Monterey Peninsula Knowledge.
  • Knows models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards).
  • Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

  • Must be able to handle large volume of tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, such as walking and standing excessively and lifting/pushing/pulling 20-50 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be team oriented, driven to overcome stressful situations by problem solving and passionate about serving people.
  • Basic clerical skills required in order to assists guests with business needs.
  • Minimum of 3 years in guest service related work on the Monterey Peninsula
  • Must be a good communicator, both orally and in written form.
  • Present a professional image in dress and communication.
  • Ability to work independently and interface equally well with co-workers, guests and visitors.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, any day of the week including holidays.

Desired Skills:

  • Second language preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Pebble Beach Resorts and the Monterey Peninsula.
