In this role, you will be working inside a thriving and growing manufacturing facility that designs, tests, produces, and ships Door Closers, Door Controls, and Electromechanical Door Controls used in Hospitals, Schools, Churches, Sports Arenas, Hotels, and large Institutional buildings. What would you do in the role? Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies. Understand and have experience in setting-up and operating CNC horizontal and vertical mills including axis assignment/basic program interpretation and editing. Be able to select applicable Fixturing required. Load Fixturing. Perform limited in-process inspections with assigned gaging. Determine the correct print for each part. Read and understand the dimensions and tolerances stated therein. Perform limited in-process inspections with assigned gauging. Using the work instruction & print provided adjust the tooling diameters and depths to keep the parts within print. Follow all ISO procedures. Perform all tooling changes and touch-offs as required - including Drills/Endmills/Reamers. Determine the condition of running tools and perform minor qualified tooling changes such as indexable inserts on both CNC lathes and CNC VMCs. Perform minor preventative maintenance assignments as required. Other duties as assigned and required by the supervisor. What we are looking for The ideal candidate: Must have 3 years of experience and be proficient with setting up and operating CNC machines. Must have experience and be able to read blue prints and proficient at using micrometers and calipers Must be a team player in the cell group. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must be quality conscious and have a commitment to details. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40lbs Also, we believe the ideal candidate has 3 years or more of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment assembling metal components. You are used to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meeting high production and quality standards.
