Position Overview
Join us as a Part Time Billing Clerk where you’ll play a key role in supporting our team and driving operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values collaboration, and is eager to grow professionally. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part Time Billing Clerk to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for managing toll violation processing, payments, and dispute resolution while assisting the accounting team with various tasks. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Review and process toll violations received in the mail on a routine basis.
  • Submit online toll payments through state and local travel authorities.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies by processing disputes for incorrectly billed tolls.
  • Upload documents in Docstar for secure digital storage.
  • Provide necessary documentation to rebill and collect payments from customers.
  • Assist in the distribution of mail and packages.
  • Maintain accurate historical records by scanning financial transactions and relevant documents.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive organizational information.
  • Support the accounting team with various projects and administrative tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized professional with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Able to process financial transactions accurately, resolve discrepancies quickly, and maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with the flexibility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and prior experience in accounting support or toll processing preferred. Available for 20–29 hours per week.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and document management systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in accounting support, administrative roles, or toll processing preferred.
